This large open area consists of white dunes with scattered cottonwood trees and miles of surrounding marked desert trails. Camping is permitted but is primitive. The nearby town of Green River provides basic supplies and has several RV campgrounds.
The Dead Cow Trail and Tubes is closed as is Hellroaring Canyon, Hey Joe Canyon, Tenmile Wash, Day Canyon. For more information call (435) 259-2100.

1) Take I-70 East to Exit 175/Floy Wash Road 2) Turn right (south) Floy Wash Road, continue 4.5 miles 3) Bear right to stay on Floy Wash Road, continue about 8 miles 4) Look for two large parking areas on the left. The upper staging area is better suited for larger vehicles while the lower staging area is best attempted with smaller vehicles due to deep sand. |
