Of the three designated dune areas, this is the southernmost but is also the largest. There are several designated campgrounds that provide direct dune access plus numerous primitive sand camps to choose from (4x4 strongly recommended).
The area has three access points - Horsefall Beach Road to the south, Hauser Staging Area as the center access point and Spinreel Campground to the north. The dunes are open year-round to riding however the beach is only open to motorized use October 1 through April 30.
OHVs are not permitted on the dunes south of Horsefall Beach Road. Annual and five day passes can be purchased online or at the Oregon Dunes Visitor Center.

(For Central Access - Hauser Staging Area) 4) Take US-101 north about 6 miles 5) Turn left (west) on Hauser Depot Road, continue .2 miles toward staging area.
