Other Names

Mt. Hood National Forest, Barlow Ranger District, Warm Springs Indian Reservation

Last Known StatusClosed For Season

This part of the Mt. Hood National Forest offers about 70+ miles of narrow and twisty single track and about 50 miles of ATV trails. Vegetation mostly consists of a pine and conifer forest. Trails are mostly smooth and fast with some sections of lava rock.

The trail system has three staging areas. McCubbins Gulch Campground has direct trail access and can accomodate trailers up to 25 feet. Please note that this area is located near the Warm Springs Indian Reservation and a permit is required to access tribal lands.

This trail system closes during fire season which usually begins around late July through mid September and December 1 through March 31 to help protect deer winter range. Exact dates vary each year so call first before heading out.
