Glendive Short Pine OHV Area

Wednesday, December 11, 2024

Other Names

Yellowstone River, Marsh Road

Last Known StatusOpen

This large area offers over 2,800 acres of public land that is open to all vehicle types. The area is open year-round but the best time to visit is during the spring and fall months or after a light rain since the trails can get very dusty during dry weather conditions.

There are many miles of trails, some primitive campsites and a designated shooting area. Terrain mainly consists of dry, hard packed ATV trails, steep and crusty hill climbs and some play areas. Vegetation is limited to mostly scattered juniper trees and various scrub brush.

The main staging area has vault toilets and a map kiosk but no other services so come prepared.
