Other Names

Green Ridge State Forest, Stafford Trail

Last Known StatusClosed

At one time this 4x4 trail was open to motorized use but is now closed with no plans to re-open. The trail looped through a scenic forest of hickory and oak trees. Some sections could be muddy with several moderately sized mud puddles. There was three staging opportunities for the trail loop and three-wheelers were prohibited.

Primitive camping is permitted throughout the forest but a permit is required which can be obtained by contacting the Green Ridge State Forest Office. This listing will remain up for historical purposes and to help prevent a wasted trip.
