This high desert area offers thousands of acres of 4x4 roads and sand washes to explore and is home to herds of wild horses. Vegetation is sparse but mainly consists of sagebrush, saltbrush, scattered pinyon pine and juniper trees. The area is open year-round but the best time to visit is during the spring and fall months. There are no services so come prepared.
