This small dune area is open daily during daylight hours. Amenities include shade ramadas, restrooms, coin operated showers, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is also a beginner’s practice area.

The dunes are bordered on the east side by the Alamo canal and scattered tamarisk trees can be found throughout the area. Due to hot desert temperatures, the best time to visit is in the late fall through early spring. An 8 foot whip is required on all vehicles.
