Other Names | 99 Race Track Trails, Hackberry Lake Trail System |
Last Known Status | Open |
This large area offers over 100 miles of desert trails that consists of hard packed and rocky 4x4 trails, fast single track, and challenging hill climbs. A separate dune area is located about 5 miles east past the main entrance for this trail system, but note that there is no direct OHV access between the two ride areas.
The main staging area has five sites, each with shade gazebo, a picnic table and garbage can but no water so come prepared. There is no fee charged for camping or riding but all OHVs must display a current New Mexico OHV Permit.
Please note that this area is a checkerboard of private and public land due to being located in the middle of an active oil field operation.
