| Emma Long Metropolitan Park | |
| Alt Names |
Oak Shores Drive Motorcycle Trails, Turkey Creek Trail |
This small park offers about 9 miles of trails for motorcycles and mountain bikes. Quads, horseback riding and hiking are prohibited, as are overnight camping and campfires. Almost all of the trails are winding single track with mostly unbanked turns and repeated rock-step climbs. Smaller children or novices may find some of the initial sections a bit of a challenge, but once you get going these trails are fairly tame. The parking area is huge, with shaded picnic areas and basic restrooms. A kiosk at the entrance has a trail map and regulations for self pay. Nearby Emma Long Park has camping, swimming, hiking and boating opportunites on Lake Austin. The park is open daily from 7am-10pm. |

| The trails here are narrow single track throughout. |
| There are some stepped rock climbs like this to keep it interesting. |
| This is an example of one of the chunkier parts of the trail. There are many sections similar to this. |
| The parking and staging area for the trails is large and wide. There is a kiosk with a trail map near the entrance. |
| For large portions of the loops, things smooth out considerably. There are some low hanging branches to watch for. |
| There are one or two sections with larger rocks to play on. This one was near the parking lot. |
| Many of the trails have sort of an abrupt start like this, but the trails themselves are fairly tame and easy overall. |
| The restrooms are on the north end of the parking lot. |
| This is shaded day use area is located in the northwest corner of the staging area. |
| A view of the main staging area. |
| Another example of some of the "rock steps" on the trail. |
